After a two-month excursion, my third journey into the great city of Los Angeles comes to an end. A wave of existential dread overtook me as the city itself endured a turbulent season.
In heaven, The Getty, I was given mirror upon mirror of myself and my soul. The way they shifted the artwork, and the careful placement of every piece, unlocked the most visceral glimpses into my past lives I have ever experienced.
On this voyage, I became so enthralled by this city’s magic that I sometimes forgot to ground myself. I was lost and confused, yet more in tune than ever.
My spirit is alive, and for that, I thank this city.
But in stripping away my ego, I found the true lesson of this trip: my friends matter more than anything. The connections I’ve already built are the clearest path to the future I seek—so to them, I must return.
